Pace International

The two 38″x25″ posters of Peter published by Pace in 1970. Catalogue Numbers (Left) 114 and (Right) 115

Every self-respecting teenager in the 1970’s had a Pace poster on their bedroom wall. What then would cost you 35p from Woollies* in the Seventies, will now set you back upwards of £200 at film fairs and online – particularly if in the original box and poster itself is in mint condition.
Pace International Limited were a publishing company based in London, which produced a series of posters featuring both music and film stars of the day, and other “cool” bedroom wall fodder such as motor cycles and drag racers.
The two posters of Peter below were manufactured in 1970. The one on the right became the company’s top seller of that year, outstripping the likenesses of such luminaries as Roger Moore, Omar Sharif, Paul Newman, Robert Redford and Jimi Hendrix by some margin.
Left: Posters came boxed.
Below is an original 1970’s sales brochure from Pace International featuring the two posters they produced of Peter from 1970.
