The Official Peter Wyngarde Appreciation Society was founded in 1992 with the authorisation and support of Peter himself. It is our intention is to build the most detailed and comprehensive archive of information ever compiled for any actor on the ‘net. You can find a history of the Appreciation Society here.
The Society is a non-profit organisation that has been run by Tina Wyngarde-Hopkins since its formation. As Peter’s soulmate, confidant and constant companion, Tina shared a unique and deeply personal bond with him that endured throughout their years together until his passing in 2018.
Our purpose is to help preserve Peter’s legacy and ensure that his name remains firmly in the public consciousness. By celebrating and promoting his remarkable body of work, we hope to introduce new audiences around the world to the talent, versatility and enduring appeal that made him such a distinctive figure in film, television and theatre. Equally important is our commitment to challenging the many myths, misconceptions and inaccuracies that have surrounded him in both the media and online. Through careful research and the presentation of verifiable evidence, we aim to provide a more balanced and truthful account of his life and career, allowing his achievements to be appreciated on the basis of fact rather than speculation.
This Site is constantly being updated if and when new material becomes available. Contributions, suggestions and opinions are of course always welcome.
